What to do if you have no water

Check your cold kitchen tap first, then your stop tap, then our map. Most interruptions are back within four hours.

Start with the cold tap in your kitchen, because that is the one fed straight from the main. If it runs, the problem is inside your home rather than in our pipes. If it does not, check whether your neighbours have water and whether your internal stop tap is fully open.

Next, check our map for work in your area. If there is nothing listed and your neighbours are dry too, report it — we may not know yet. We aim to have water back within four hours of an unplanned interruption, and we will tell you if it will take longer.

If you are on the Priority Services Register, we will bring bottled water to your door. Anyone else can collect it from the station we open nearby, and we will say where on the incident page.
