A 12-inch main burst under Kingsmarsh Road shortly after 04:00. We closed two valves to stop the water and our repair team was on site by 05:15. Around 4,300 homes in Kingsmarsh and Kingsmarsh West have no water or low pressure.

We expect to finish the repair by early afternoon and for water to return to most homes by 18:00. It may come back cloudy or discoloured for an hour or so. Run your cold kitchen tap slowly until it clears.

Bottled water is available from Kingsmarsh Leisure Centre, Fen Road, from 10:00 today. If you are on our Priority Services Register we will bring water to your door.
